Former WHS records holders
Please note: This page is a continuing project. I have begun compiling the former school records holders using the files I have in my computer archive, those published in the Whitehall/Trempealeau County Times from 1992 to 2014. From there, I will go through the back issues I have as hard copy, dating back to 1980.
Earlier than 1980, however, the WHS track and field records were seldom, if ever, published. I will find records where and when I can, in the school yearbook and elsewhere. Persons who know of school records, and have some sort of supporting documentation or source, can contact me at macthomaidh@gmail.com.
Retired WHS records
(Note: Most of these are the English-measurement running and hurdling records that were “retired” when the WIAA switched to metric in 1980 and those events/distances were seldom, if ever, run. However, distances in some of the events (and heights for the hurdles) were also changed before and after that; the retired WHS records in some of the older events, and former record holders, will be difficult to determine, but will be added as they are found.)
